As seen in the image and video above, this system really does sound as nice as it looks.
As a company we decided, after years of concentrating on a different look through investment and implementation of new lighting technologies and computer control systems we realised that our lighting standard had exceeded the quality of our audio rig, which we are well aware of, is a little bit backwards.
We decided to then look at investing in an alternative. Firstly, we purchased a pair of American Audio active 15 inch subwoofers to go with our custom built 'Pro Cabs' from Arcaydis Pro Audio. Although giving a real boost to the bottom end, this still was, essentially a low priced, low fidelity system that did though, offer huge SPL (perceived volume).
A new leap needed to be made to maintain a leading role in the local market. It was a toss up between purchasing the HK Actor DX active rig or some second hand Martin Audio speakers (as used in large club environments). Then our attention was drawn to Shermann, who were able to offer us an almost identical in appearance rig to the imposing HK Actor DX rig but with a better spec plus the advantage of being constructed locally to order.
Unlike the majority of offerings, HK included, the Shermann Audio system was hand made in the UK and using European components. The build quality and sound quality is amasing and now gives us a modular system that can be not only implemented in 3 different configurations, but can be added to as the business needs grow. For larger gigs we do have access to a pair of twin 18 inch Shermann Audio bass cabs, this combined rig would be capable of performing at even the most demanding of indoor functions, such as warehouse raves right through to outdoor events.
Please do not let the imposing nature of the stacks put you off if you prefer a lower volume.
The system is rarely pushed to its limits
The volume will always be set at a level that you want, after all, its your function and your the star!
